I expect they lived there for awhile before moving to Perry Co., Ind.
John & Eleanor had a Samuel born 1802 who married Mariah Faulkenborough in 1827 and both dies of typhoid in 1843. The baby Barbara (age 3 I think with Mary Anne smaller) was reared by her grandparents & during the Civil War married John Clark Esarey. Clark & Barbara had a son Logan 1893-1942 who taught history in Indiana Univ & became my father.

[Comment: The above names the children of Samuel Ewing, Jr. and Margaret Crawford. Being identified as an heir of Samuel Ewing is the evidence used to connect this family into the Ewing faily.]
