New Ewing Family Association Forum

With the help of Martin S. Ewing, the Ewing Family Association has established a new Forum for collaboration among Ewing cousins and researchers. It supports joint document authorship and document sharing as well as threaded discussion. To access or join this forum, click on the Forum link appearing at the top of this page
(as well as all the other pages in the web site).

Ewing Family Association is dedicated to fostering and facilitating the development and dissemination of accurate, verified and well-documented histories and genealogies of Ewing families around the world.

We welcome the participation of families with variant spellings of the name, including Ewen, Ewan, Ewin, McEwan, McEwen and many others.

To fulfill our purposes, we are working together to develop and make available a wide range of resources, including (but not limited to):

  • This web site which includes, in the Ewing Reading Room, transcriptions of sometimes otherwise difficult-to-find Ewing books and numerous articles on a range of topics including the origin of the Ewing surname.

  • The Ewing Family Journal, a scholarly journal published quarterly, a subscription to which is included in membership in the Association.

  • The Ewing Genealogy Documentation (EGD) Project which is collecting, validating and documenting Ewing genealogies.

  • The Ewing Surname Y-DNA Project which is using genertic testing to support conclusions reached by traditional genealogical research.

  • Biennial face-to-face gatherings for cooperative research as well as fellowship and fun.

  • Ewing-family merchandise (coffee cups, shirts, pins, etc.).

  • Please join us in making these resources available for Ewing researchers everywhere.
